Ian Coursey is an actor currently starring in the national tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music." A Silver Spring, Maryland native, Ian spent his childhood playing baseball with his brother Connor and enjoying time with his cockapoo, Papi, before discovering his love for musical theatre. Ian spent two years in the BFA Musical Theatre program at the University of Michigan, before pausing his studies to join the National Tour of "Dear Evan Hansen." Ian spent a year on tour, then returned to Michigan and graduated on time. While attending "UMich", Ian starred as Berger in "Hair," Eddie Birdlace in "Dogfight," William Barfee in "Spelling Bee" and Frank Abagnale Jr. in "Catch Me If You Can." After college, Ian moved to New York City, where he started his own rock band playing venues such as The Delancey, and The Cutting Room. He also started a residency performing solo jazz sets at Coby Club. Ians solo debut album "Wandering Man" will be released soon.
