Sun Quan (played by An Ping), resentful that Liu Bei (Geng Qichang) has long occupied Jingzhou despite repeated demands for its return, conspires with Zhou Yu (Ye Shaolan) to offer his younger sister, Sun Shangxiang (Li Weikang), in marriage to Liu Bei as a ruse. Their plan is to lure him across the river, hold him hostage, and exchange him for Jingzhou. Zhuge Liang sees through the scheme and decides to turn it to his advantage.
